Capabilities
The following examples provide brief descriptions of various Statement of Work projects completed
for our clients using the Manifest methodologies:
"Ourshore" Development A division of this Fortune 500 Company processes Mutual Funds.
When a third party administrator assumed this processing, the client needed a new system to house
information about its NASD registered representatives. Manifest provided a database in Microsoft
Access, with a multi-user Visual Basic application for the user interface plus a series of system
reports and outputs using Crystal Reports. Manifest also provided the ability to do ad hoc queries
on the database and produce ad hoc reports.
Our banking client was converting a subsidiary bank to its core systems and required
assistance to convert the ATM processing. Manifest provided a project team to develop the ATM
conversion system. Manifest undertook management of this project, acting as the intermediary
between the bank and the former third party ATM processor. This project surfaced very near the
overall conversion date and involved very tight deadlines. Manifest met all deadlines and
delivered the conversion programs on schedule, despite serious delays in receiving needed input
from the third party ATM processor.

Concept to Completion This Financial Services client required development of an interactive
CD-ROM-based / Internet-enabled financial planning tool for its sales force and customers. Manifest
developed a financial planning software package that can be used by either consumers or sales
representatives on a variety of personal computing platforms. It includes an interactive Investment
Planner, a Retirement Planner and a Product Planner supported by a tutorial; a review feature, ongoing
summaries, a contextual glossary and pop-up help menus. Manifest provided the data architecture, data
dictionary, technical design, construction, testing and implementation of the package. This package
employs Visual Basic 5.0, Oracle 7.0, MS Access, Active X, True DB Grid, Graphics Server, Tab Pro,
Quark Express, Photo Shop and Internet Explorer.
Our construction client needed a complete from-the-ground-up solution for the development of their
network infrastructure when it split from its parent company. Manifest managed this process and
undertook the project to implement a new accounting package for our client to run their business.
Manifest researched, recommended and deployed a 3rd party construction accounting package, converted
applications from their previous software package, networked their facility, hosted training at our
location and provided technical support.
A nonprofit organization focused on enhancing K-12 education by building partnerships that empower
educators and students to effectively use technology in schools. Manifest has provided an in-kind
contribution of development and services for its Columbus, Ohio Chapter’s web site. This has included
establishing a standard web page design, reorganizing the information displayed on web pages, allowing
a more sophisticated user interface, adding interactive user forms and links. Manifest is also hosting
this web site, providing ongoing maintenance and support.
The PGA’s Memorial Golf Tournament employs thousands of volunteers whose work benefits Children’s
Hospital. The Tournament Committee’s Women’s Division manages this volunteer effort. Manifest provided
an in-kind contribution by developing a database that organizes volunteer data and a software application
giving the Women’s Committee managers easy access to the volunteer data. The new system also generates
and prints mailing labels, provides a series of periodic statistical, financial and management reports
and ad hoc reporting capabilities. The system is designed using Microsoft Access 2000 integrated with
other Microsoft desktop applications.

Fixed Cost Our client, a 70-agent real estate agency with two offices in Central Ohio, was
experiencing severe problems with their web site and decided to select a new vendor. Manifest migrated
their web site from the former vendor to our facility. The migration required configurations and script
logic translation from LINUX platform language to WINDOWS 2000 Server platform language. Manifest
re-designed the web application to use a relational database so all agent information can be easily
maintained and administered by the client, eliminating agent page administration costs. Manifest also
developed a secured administration and will add IPIX Virtual Tour functionality. A final phase of this
project will provide development of an MLS Listing Database, scripting to automate data import of an
MLS download file, development to add the MLS Listing Database to their domain and "Mail this Site to
a Friend" functionality.
Our Financial Services client needed decision support system data to track the
performance of resource procurement from outside vendors. The goal of this system was to provide
vendor information that is easy to collect, stored in a usable fashion and accessible to all management
levels. The system provides a standard work order format, skills tracking, timesheet/invoice
processing and vendor service measurement reporting. Manifest created the logical data model, the
physical database design, designed the user interfaces and reports using Windows 95 front-end clients,
Windows 95 and NT, Unix and MVS Operating Systems, Oracle DBMS and development tools, and other products
and tools deemed appropriate.
As a second phase of this project, Manifest provided an outsourcing solution for application support,
team and one-on-one user training and help desk support available on a 24/7 basis.
This client also wanted an intranet application developed to web enable
the above described tracking application. Manifest developed their systematic tracking and reporting
system to fulfill this need. The system was implemented on the client’s intranet using an Oracle database
and a Java application. It provided the ability for vendor information to be managed and processed, and
for the client’s management to track their own contract requests and procured resources. Manifest provided
the architectural design, database design, development and implementation of this software package.

Shared Development Our Insurance client required a data warehouse for an accounts payable
decision support system. This system was to be used by senior management, leveraging buying power
through using their internal cost management methodology. The decision support system consisted of
a front-end software package and a back-end relational database to house and process information
from 20 accounts payable (A/P) systems. The project used the combined business/technical approaches
from both Manifest and the software vendor. The software vendor provided Manifest with a working
model of the database and Manifest implemented the prototype into a midrange database system. This
included creating the physical data model, designing and coding the Data Warehouse Communication
Layer, designing and creating the Oracle database tables, performing the data extraction, data
cleansing and population of the database. Manifest also created operator guides and trained
operators on the database and Data Warehouse Communication Layer. The project used Windows 95
front-end clients, 3rd party software, Windows 95 and NT, Unix and MVS Operating Systems, Oracle
DBMS and other products and tools deemed appropriate.
Manifest provided a second phase of this project to lead the movement of the Data Warehouse to
a full production decision support system. This encompassed the positioning of the information
and warehouse architectures for future change and maneuverability. A "Rapid Response" approach
to unexpected opportunities and challenges for the organization was made possible via a flexible
architecture. Manifest built the staff development and support infrastructure, quickly
delivered increments for the data warehouse, developed and refined the roll-out and training
plans, improved the level of data quality during loading of the database and provided quality
assurance guidelines.
Manifest also evaluated and implemented appropriate Data Warehouse management tools, including
extraction, transformation, cleansing and loading for the data movement and integrating the
various independent data marts using Metadata Repository tools. This project also leveraged "net"
technologies (Internet, Intranet and Extranet), expanding the warehouse to a 4 Tier Architecture
using 3rd party software and web tools, a Web Server and (ROLAP) DBMS Server. The technologies
included Windows 95 front-end clients, Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers, 3rd party software,
Windows 95 and NT, Unix and MVS Operating Systems Oracle DBMS and other products and tools deemed appropriate.
